Our beef is evenly marbled and dry aged 21 days to ensure a quality that is usually reserved only for the finest steakhouses. The beef is growth hormone and antiboitic free and is enriched with Omega 3. Now you can get that quality delivered to your home!
-What is special about R.Q.D Dry Aged Beef?
Dry aging is a traditional, time honoured process that has virtually become obsolete due to large multi-national meat packers. It is a superior aging process that only the finest butchers and gourmet meat shops continue to practice. The extra time and care results in beef that is incredibly tender, succulent, and more flavourful.
-Explain your pricing?
We price our beef based on what it costs us to raise and process our animals into a superior product. We maintain pricing similar to the major retailers but deliver a far better product. Taste the difference that care and attention can provide over mass production!
-Explain your Customer Referral Program?
We have found that the best form of advertising is by letting our product speak for itself! Nearly all our new customers have heard about how great our meat is from friends or family. This referral program allows us to thank our customers who are helping us. When the new customer places their order, have them mention your name and we will refund you 10% on your next order!
-Where do you deliver?
Currently, we deliver to Calgary, Red Deer, and Edmonton and surrounding areas.
-What are the cattle fed?
The cattle are grazed on a pasture of alfalfa, then finished on a balance grain ration managed by the nutrionalist. Our cattle are not fed any animal bi-products or growth hormones.
-How do you ensure safe transportation of the meat?
We ensure safe transportation of the meat by freezing the meat at the time of packaging and transporting it to our customers in a freezer trailer, making sure it is frozen at the time of delivery.
-How long will it take to receive my order?
Our goal is to deliver beef to you within 14 days. At the time of purchase we will set up a delivery schedule that is convenient for you. We often post upcoming delivery dates on our home page to inform people when we'll be in their area next.
-How do you ensure a safe product?
We maintain 100% ownership and control over all our beef products ... something very rare these days. All our cattle are tracked throughout their lifespan and Swanson's Ranch and our qualified veterinarian work to ensure the cattle are healthy and well maintained. All meat processing and packaging is done by a provincially inspected and approved butcher. Our cattle are naturally and humanely raised and are not fed any animal bi-products or growth hormones.
-Is the beef organic?
No, however we consider our product "Natural." Ranch Quality Direct prides itself on raising high quality cattle fed on grain and alfalfa. Our cattle are not fed growth hormones or antibiotics. Currently it is extremely expensive to feed cattle organic grain. At this point we do not feel this cost is something most people are willing to pay for.
-What is the difference between organic and regular beef?
The difference is in the way the cattle is raised. These differences tend to result in a difference in the retail price. Both organic and conventional beef are of high quality, nutritious and safe. In terms of nutrition, lab tests have not found substantial differences. Blind taste-tests have found that consumers cannot generally tell the difference between organic and conventionally produced foods.
-What is the minimum purchase I must make for you to deliver to my house?
The minimum purchase for delivery is $100.00.
-What are the extra delivery charges if I do not meet the minimum purchase?
Currently we are only delivering orders of over $100. You can contact us directly at 1-888-899-BEEF to discuss delivery of smaller orders or orders outside our usual delivery routes.
-Can I customize my order?
